Snow

Snow is a weather condition that always finds our services completely wanting! every year it emerges that they have been making reasssuring noises with their pants down!
The transport system grinds to a halt and the next intake of fledgeling motorists slither and slide around like crazy people on this new and unpredictable road condition that is of course , to be treated no differently in their usual headlong dash to destruction!
Here in the North west UK it's always   "ER --doh! weve run out of salt!!!" AGAIN???  Cheshire is sitting on the biggest salt deposit in the land and it is efficiently mined and extracted here!   Am I missing something?

The partidges in the arable land opposite Longpig towers are skriking and grating as they do in the cold and frosty weather and can be seen strutting about pecking at the exposed ground in an attempt to find food. I know some crafty people who used to bury 2lb stone jars in the snow and scatter a few corns around and a handful in the bottom of the jar, the greedy birds would reach down for the corn and fall into the jar.---- Potted partridge!!
More snow forecast and still the morning rush will take place on unseasoned roads, The emergency services are stretched to the limit as they respond to the plaintive calls of people who call 999 because their cat is irritating them again and "Doin' their head in"     OK!
