Cheese --- Milks great leap into immortality!! Perhaps the best selection in the North west

Cartmel is rapidly becoming a centre of exellence in the food genre. We started with sticky toffee pudding years ago and then Simon Rogan took the old smithy and opened L'Enclume and later , Rogans.

The Cavendish has always provided a fine rustic menu in a lovely old cosy pub atmosphere and now the latest development has provided an outlet for a craft baker and this fine cheese emporium--Very impressive

It also hosts one of the most atmospheric and pretty racecourses in the North!
