We attended a friends birthday party yesterday! Happy birthday Maylin. A lot of planning and sourcing went into this and the venue was superb! My friend Tony has a marquee business and he and his daughters erected a "Big tent" with chandeliers and star curtains, carpets and seating for 80.
The menu had been decided earlier and approved by the hostess. It included poached salmon a big bath of lamb Rogan Gohst , a Thai green curry of vegetables with Naans and cardamom scented rice. Mixed leaf salad with red onions , a three bean salad , Assorted breads, A couple of huge bowls of strawberries -English of course! with double cream! That was just for starters! A big barbeque was glowing outside the tent and the salads and relishes nestled under the gazebo. We had fillet steaks and butterflied chicken supremes seasoned with my blend of spices and salts! A load of burgers with super crisp buns and relishes!
My brother and I look quite similar with "blond" Beards and did a double act between the BBQ's in the aromatic smoke ! We were nicely entertained by two acts both superb! Marvin Ruffin did a superb motown set which brought the tent down and the beer and wine flowed free!
Altogether a superb and memorable event event! Glad to have contributed and thoroughly enjoyed the work!!

There are some more traditional and simple culinary suggestions and methods for making pies and cider and the mystery of the sausage will be explored. My suggestions for sourcing great ingredients will be included as we go along Ther are slideshows of some of the restaurants I have been lucky enough to have visited with pictures of some of their delightfully crafted dishes.
